Unique production processes, designed to help you achieve the mural of your dreams

GETTING STARTED
Pre-production— from mural selection to initial payment
Once you’ve gotten in contact with our lovely sales team, you’ll be assigned your very own representative. They will take care of any questions you may have, and guide you through the pre-production to-dos. Below is a chronological breakdown of that process.
Step 1: Pick your Scenic Mural and Colorway
First things first— get inspired and pick your dream mural.
By perusing our collection and ordering samples, you’ll first need to identify which of Susan Harter’s dreamy muralscapes you want in your home.

Step 2: You Send Measurements
Next, you’ll send us detailed measurements of your room. Depending on the complexity and size of your space, this step can look many different ways— our How to Measure document can help guide you during this step!
During this step, your personal sales representative will guide you toward one of our two unique production processes— straight or tailored run.
Step 3: We Send an Estimate
Next, our lovely estimating team will send a quote your way, for your consideration. If you send quick, non-comprehensive measurements, you may receive a ballpark estimate. If you send detailed measurements accurate within ¼”, you may receive a formal estimate.
No matter what level of detail you’re able to capture in your initial measurements, our kind and helpful estimating team will get back to you with any measurement clarifications or questions they might have.

Step 4: Payment, Pledge, then onto Production!
Once your formal estimate is in hand, you’re ready for the exciting part— production!
In order to move from pre-production into production, you’ll need to pay an initial deposit of 50% or more, and sign a measurement pledge.

PRODUCTION
The two processes and their intricacies
During pre-production, your sales representative will have guided you toward one of two production types, straight or tailored run. You may be wondering what the differences between these two processes are— please read on to learn.

Straight Run
The process for simple spaces— all you need is your wall height and width

For straightforward projects and focus walls
Best for:
- Straightforward walls or rooms
- Focus walls
- Rooms without numerous doors, windows, or other openings
- Framed panels over 5′ tall, under 36″ wide, and with consistent sizing
- Projects with tighter timelines
- Projects where ease of measuring and quicker delivery are prioritized over exact scenery placement
Production timeline: 4–6 weeks
Minimum order: $1500 for stock heights

Tailored Run
The process where details matter most— our unique process shines most when handling complex spaces

For more complex or intricate projects
Best for:
- More complex spaces
- Rooms with unique architectural features like sloped ceilings, varying wall heights, bump-outs, niches, arched openings, etc.
- Rooms with numerous doors, windows, or other openings
- Framed panels of varying heights and widths
- Projects where you’d like precise control over scenery placement
Production timeline: 10–12 weeks
Minimum order: $3500, which includes room elevations
Note: To prepare for your tailored run estimate, see our How to Measure guide.
The two processes have different timelines and manufacturing differences— here are the steps of the mural-making journey, outlined for both runs:
